Building my professional website

I recently made the decision to create a website focused on my professional profile, a kind of entry card to introduce who I am and what I do.
At first, the idea felt too self-centered for me, so I kept postponing it for months. But when you work in academia and also want to keep the door open for other types of opportunities, things can get messy. You end up with multiple versions of your CV: a short, one-page version that’s easy to read, and a much longer, detailed one that universities often require. On top of that, you promote your work in scattered posts on LinkedIn or X, and keeping everything updated across so many platforms becomes a real challenge.
That’s exactly what pushed me to go ahead with the website: having a space to bring everything together in one place and having the freedom to format the information as I want. In the end, it’s not just a tool for sharing my work, but also an experiment. Plus, I get to improve my design and graphic skills along the way. :)
This is actually my very first blog post, written at the moment of sharing the website, so let’s see where this journey goes!
